It’s That Time of Year Again — Time to Review Your Medicare Plan
Each fall, the Annual Election Period (AEP) gives everyone already enrolled in a Medicare plan the chance to make changes for the upcoming year.
This includes:
Anyone currently enrolled in a 2025 Medicare plan who wants to make a choice for January 1, 2026
Even those who are brand new to Medicare in October, November, or December 2025 — after the first year, everyone renews annually during this same time
It’s your once-a-year opportunity to:
Switch from one Medicare Advantage plan to another
Move from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan (or vice versa)
Add, drop, or change a Part D prescription drug plan
Why This Matters
Plans can change from year to year. Premiums, copays, covered medications, and even provider networks can shift — and your health needs might have changed too. Reviewing your plan each fall ensures that when January arrives, your coverage still fits your needs and budget. Think of it like checking the recipe before making another batch of donuts — you want everything just right.
A Little Effort Now Means Peace of Mind All Year - How to Make It Easy
Open and read your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) from your plan
Make a quick list of any new prescriptions or doctors you want covered
Then sit down with me — we’ll review your options together over a friendly chat (and maybe some actual donuts if you like!)
You don’t have to do this alone — We’ll walk you through your choices and help you feel confident about your coverage for 2026. And we’ll make sure your Medicare coverage is ready for the new year.
